To our valued clients and healthcare partners

Synapse Integrated Psychology, LLC opened almost 3 years ago, with a vision for providing quality behavioral health care to our community. In an effort to continue providing these services and caring for our clients, we have decided to join Gallup Community Health to develop a program that integrates behavioral health services with primary health care.

Synapse providers (Dr. Leggett and Juliana Stravers) are planning to move our offices and begin practicing under Gallup Community Health (GCH) sometime in May, 2024. We will do our best to minimize any impact this might have on the services available to our clients and the community.

  • We will help all current clients make arrangements for medication refills prior to this transition.

  • There may be some interruption to appointment scheduling in late April/ early May (for a month at the very most).

  • During that time, client medical records at Synapse will be transitioned to GCH where they will be maintained and made available on request.

  • We will also be moving our physical offices to the College Clinic building at 2111 College Drive in Gallup. (We will not be affiliated in any way with RMCH medical services).

We encourage our current clients to continue working with the Synapse office directly until May 1, 2024.  After that time you can reach out to GCH (505-397-5172).

Our clients are free to seek services elsewhere, if they prefer, but offering treatment through GCH will enable us to continue accepting insurance and sliding-scale fees, as well as continue to offer in-person, evening, and Saturday appointments in Gallup. All active Synapse clients will be able to make a seamless transition without going through a new intake/ assessment process (apart from signing new consent forms).

We understand that changes like this cause uncertainty and anxiety. We want to assure you that this decision was made with our clients’ best interest at heart. If you feel you are unable to make this transition with us, let us know in writing prior to April 1, 2024, and we will forward your medical records to the provider of your choice.

We are sorry if this creates an inconvenience. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your provider with any questions or concerns you may have.
